5 Steps to Increased Anxiety
As much as I hate to admit it. I haven't always been as anxious as I am now. There were moments between the time of my birth and my second birthday where I experienced a calm feeling that everything was going to be okay. I don't remember these times but I'm pretty sure I had them. Since then, I finally learned to master the art of anxiety.
It hasn't been an easy road. I've had to fight through some positive experiences in life, such as getting married, having a child, achieving a measure of financial stability, having my sins forgiven by Jesus, and similar things. Yet, somehow, and I'm not bragging, just stating a fact, but somehow, I've still managed to stay somewhat negative through it all.
Perhaps it's a gift. If so, I dare not keep it to myself. It behooves me to pass on my knowledge to others who may find it difficult to keep those dark clouds hanging over their heads.
Firstly, it's very important to never forget the negative stuff of life. That person who bullied you in grade four. Or that time you failed to stick up for you buddy in grade six. Meditate on these things. Feel free to beat yourself up about them.

Rabbits and chocolate eggs. What have these to do with Easter? The simple answer would be nothing at all.
A longer answer might include the fact that ancient peoples regarded rabbits and coloured eggs as symbols of new life and new beginnings. Apparently, this is how they found their way into the Christian celebration we call Easter.
The time fails me to speak of the origins of the name, Easter. Or perhaps it's not the time that fails me but rather the interest. Or energy. In any case, the rabbits and coloured eggs do have a point. We need to appreciate new life. But where can such new life be found? Therein lies the message of Easter.
Many people believe Mary Magdalene was a former prostitute. Her hometown was Mandala, a city notorious for its high numbers of sex trade workers. What we do know about Mary was that she had severe problems in her life. In fact, scripture tells us she was possessed by no fewer than seven demons. Dealing with one hellish intruder into your soul is bad enough. Seven must surely be a nightmare of epic proportions. .
Thankfully, Jesus specializes in turning nightmares into day dreams. So what did Jesus do for this former lady of the night? Nothing much really except that he saved her, drove the demons out of her, set her free, and completely changed her life. Other than that He didn't really do much for her. I mean He could have taken her shopping at the Magdala Mall or something. He could have treated her to a day at the spa, or even a new hair style.
But it seems like Jesus totally neglected her outward needs, as if soul care was more important than body care. Sometimes Jesus doesn't understand the real needs of people.
And guess who was the first one to enter the tomb on that first Easter Sunday morning? It was Mary and her female friends. They had come with spices to embalm His body but to their surprise there was no body to embalm. My question is: Where were the men? Where were the twelve disciples? Actually, being the brave, hardy men that they were, they had locked themselves in a room for fear of their countrymen.

How to serve God with an Anxiety Disorder
1. Abandon all hope of appearing Normal
If you have an anxiety disorder, or any type of mental issue, you're not normal. The disorder itself is an aberration. It's the way you are. Not the way you're supposed to be. Not the way many others are.

The Benefits of Idolatry
Worshipping God is not all it's cracked up to be. The problem is that God is a Person. He has feelings, ideas, thoughts, things like that. But worst of all, He has commands. Who wants those? Wouldn't it be better to bow down to an object that can't talk, or walk, or say or do anything. A block of wood or stone would make an excellent god. Just shape it according to your own imagination.
Better still, why not just invent a mental image of god and worship that. Who says we have to stick with the God of the bible? God can be whatever you want Him to be. Assuming it's really "Him." Perhaps He's a She, or an It. The wonderful thing about idolatry is that anything goes. You can make your own god to fit your own preconceived ideas of what God should be. Here's a few guidelines to help you make your own god.
1. Comfortability. Make a God you're comfortable with.
Make sure your god doesn't support things that make you uncomfortable.

Basic Guidelines for Selecting a Mate
Rule #1: Base your selection mainly on physical attraction.
The last thing you want is to wind up with somebody who doesn't fully measure up to society's standards of sexiness. Forget personality. Forget character. Focus on the outward appearance. If she dresses like a prostitute then she just might be the type of women you would like to spend the rest of your life with.
Rule #2: Don't pray about your selection.
Leave prayer for the bigger choices in life. What will you wear to church on Sunday? What will be the colour of your next car? These are things that require prayer, and perhaps even fasting. But selecting a life partner? Not so much.
Rule #3: Be sure to sample the goods before you purchase them.
Whoever buys a car without taking it for a test run? Don't wait until you're married to find out if you and your mate are sexually compatible. By then it will be too late to skip out of the relationship.

Opportunity Knocks
I read somewhere that our English word for "opportunity" derives from a Latin word that means "toward the port." It gives the idea of a ship which takes advantage of the winds and tides to sail safely toward the harbour.
I'm going to make an assumption even while acknowledging that assumptions often make something out of you and me. My assumption is that most people want to one day reach the glistening shores of the harbour of Heaven. But as the song says: "Everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to go today."
Nobody is really in a rush to get there. I get that. It's understandable. Before you ascend into the bliss of Paradise you first have to descend into the valley of the shadow of death. A little taste of hell before you finally reach heaven.

Pluralism - basically says all religions lead to God.
multiple religions are true, or equally valid. Opposite of exclusivity.
Relativism teaches that all religions have equal value and that none give access to absolute truth.
Pluralism - Can be used to refer to peaceful co-existence between religions.
It's more than the sharing of certain values or agreement on social issues. It has to do with lending credence to competing truth claims and accepting diverse beliefs regarding God and salvation.
Tolerance - Not the same as religious tolerance. Tolerance means the absence of persecution and religious discrimination. It doesn't necessarily mean you agree with the beliefs and practises of other religions. It does not involve believing that all religions are true. (that could constitute ideological intolerance)
